Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

Panagbenga 2014, Baguio City

Third day of our Feb 2014 vacation, we went to Baguio to see the Panagbenga Festival (Flower Festival) which is celebrated the whole month of February. We stayed at Baguio Vacation Villa and I love the house, bit expensive for a transient house but its because of the festival and its peak season. We rented the house for 2 days and it costs 7,000 pesos.

It's my first time to watch the flower parade in Baguio. We get to see different floats covered with flowers. This year it was GMA 7 who hosted the 2014 Panagbenga. I wasn't thrilled about it because I don't watch GMA shows, lol.

The parade starts at 8 in the morning, but we went to Session Road around 8:30 or 9:00, so by that time we didn't have a better view of the parade, so I asked one of the locals there and she said we can go to Burnham Park and wait for the parade to come because that will be the last stop. So we all went there and we were able to see about 5 or 6 floats. But because I'm just using my handy dandy phone I didn't have good pictures.

After watching, we went to La Trinidad, Benguet to visit Chinese Temple and Bell Church. I have to say that the place has beautiful landscape, intricate buildings, arches, pillars and dragons.

my little Chichi, me and hubbys niece JC.

Our 3rd stop is the Strawberry farm in La Trinidad Benguet. From what I remember we paid 300 pesos per kilo of the strawberry plus fruit picking. You can eat 1-2 piece daw sabi ng nagbabantay pero dahil pasaway kameng lahat. Lafang to the max talaga kame..

very meticulous ang pagpili ng mga strawberry.

Our last stop, Mines View Park, didn't bother taking pictures because the place is so crowded, so me and my daughter ended up going back to our car and waited for our relatives to come back.

It was 4 in the afternoon that we left Baguio and it took us 4 freaking hours to reach Camp1 because everybody is going home to Manila, around 8:30 in the evening we were on the national road going to Pangasinan so we took a shortcut and didn't take the road going to Manila via La union or else that will be more stressful for us. Imagine, our travel took us almost 9 hours to get back to Manila where it supposed to be 6 hours only.

So, next time that we will visit Baguio for the Panagbenga we will not go back to Manila right after the Flower Parade, might want to stay one more night so we won't experience that horrible traffic again.

Be a Professional Blogger and Level Up Your Chance on Getting Paid By Clients

I started getting serious about blogging back in 2014. At first, all I know is we can get money from Google Ads and not from clients and attending events. Years past, I was able to write hundreds of blog articles, and I have attended many media trip, famtrip and international trip like in Indonesia and Israel where I got invited both by the Tourism Department.

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
