Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

ZOMATO Foodie Night at VYNE

My college buddy Tin and I attended last night's foodie meetup with Zomato Philippines at Vyne Bonifacio Global City. It was our first time to attend an event like this and we have met a lot of foodie / lifestyle bloggers like us.

Vyne's daily program.

The restaurant's ambiance is very classy yet they make it more appealing because of the pop art paintings which I really love the most.

Vyne's selection of food are Asian fusion so expect that you'll have more spicy foods on their menu. So, here's what we had last night.

First on their Tapas menu is Pork Chasu Bun. I love the meat on it, very tasty however the bun is too greasy for me, maybe because they put too much butter to toast the bun.

Second is Thai Scallops. You have to eat a piece as a whole. Their scallops is perfectly cooked and I loved it.

Mini Crab Cakes is the 3rd to be served on their Tapas menu. I didn't like it that much because the crab cake is too moist, feels like I'm eating it raw.

For our soup we had Prawn and Ravioli Laksa. First sip on the sauce, Wow! It's heaven and I consider it as my comfort food because it taste like my mom's dish. You can really taste the coconut milk and the level of spiciness is just perfect.

We had 2 set of salad. First is the Apple and Bleu Cheese, we all don't wanna eat it coz the presentation is so cute. Second salad is East Asian with kimchi on the side. This for me is more tasty though Apple salad is more enticing and rare kind of salad presentation.

For our noodle dish, we had Ramen Carbonara. Now, this is my 2nd favorite dish so far. It's not the typical kind of carbonara that you eat because once they served you the pasta they will pour the ramen broth which is so cool!

We had Vyne Burger which is a 200 gram of Beef pattie with Apricot jam? It's weird huh? First bite, yummmmy! Pure beef with no extenders. So good!

For our main course we first had Pan Seared Sole which is a fried fish fillet with sweet corn puree. My friend Tin, didn't like the corn puree but I liked it and my daughter Chichi will surely finish the whole serving of it, Lol.

For our last main course is US Angus Rib eye Steak. It has 4 kinds of dip. The steak is a 600 gram Prime Ribeye. I just had a bite of it. I'm not a fan of rare cooked beef.

And finally, our dessert is Lemon Cheesecake. First bite, OMG! it's so good! I just became Kris Aquino again when I reacted when I tastes the cake. OA sa sarap! Super bitin as in super saraaap! The best cheesecake!

Overall food experience, 4/5. Zomato peeps did a great job on organizing this foodie event. We expect more foodie event on the next coming weeks. Thanks Zomato!

Be a Professional Blogger and Level Up Your Chance on Getting Paid By Clients

I started getting serious about blogging back in 2014. At first, all I know is we can get money from Google Ads and not from clients and attending events. Years past, I was able to write hundreds of blog articles, and I have attended many media trip, famtrip and international trip like in Indonesia and Israel where I got invited both by the Tourism Department.

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
