Mr. Salvador Banares Jr; another winner for the professional category. His stamp design is a parent hugging a child.

Mr. Mark leo Maac, winner for the student category.

Here are the 4 winners of the "On the spot" Stamp Design Contest.

PHLPost also unveils their Christmas 2014 Stamp with barely less than a moth they've come up a design with the Filipino traditions and values of giving and merrymaking. Rodine Teodoro, the artist behind these design. Christmas Stamp showing the new born Jesus with Mary and Joseph in traditional Filipino clothing, the all time favorite Christmas caroling, "Pagmamano" - a symbol of respect for elderly Filipinos, and the traditional "Noche Buena" during the Christmas Eve. In the middle they put the traditional Filipino Christmas Lantern.

The program highlighted the presentation of the 2015 Philippine Stamp calendar with much more and new technologies lined-up starting with the issuance of the Pope Francis Visit special stamps to be printed in 3D Embossing and Hot Foil Stamping Coinage stamps. PHLPost also launched "Selyo Magazine", a quarterly publication of stamps which will be very useful for stamps collectors and an enthusiast like me.

I was astonished to know that there are special features that our PHLPost stamps has and will have in 2015. They are now using the modern printing technology and they will introduce the metallic printing, special composite perforation, satin finish, thermal ink and peel-off sticker stamps. At the event, Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz said about the "Selfie Stamp". Your own picture to be printed as a stamp. I wanna have this and I'm sure many Filipinos will surely like and would want to have their faces printed on a stamp. How cool is that?

I am very happy to be part of this event as I have learned alot of things from one of our Government Agency. I love history and this definitely added on my knowledge.

The Urban Farm

Found another restaurant here at Robinsons Las Pinas. The Urban Farm is originally located in Paranaque near Tahanan Village. They opened their second branch in Robinsons Las Pinas. It was my second day to find another good restaurant with my Chichi.

From the restaurant's tagline "Farm healthy good food", they serve fresh and healthy style of food. The place is really inviting, coz of it's greenish hues.

So, while checking on their menu, the waitress gave me a tea. Which I still tried though I'm not a tea lover. It's good. I just forgot what herb/s they put on it.

I ordered roasted chicken. It has herbs on it which is not new for my palette. So, I think I paid too much for this dish, which is 220 php. Rice is too dry, chicken serving portion is small (very thin actually) and the gravy is made from the chicken marinate and they just put a little butter and some pepper and salt (well, that's what it taste like).

I ordered 5 pieces of double chocolate cookies for Chichi for 230-250 php. Good thing about this cookie, it has malunggay so it's healthy (in a way). Again, too much for 250 pesos. After my meal, maybe it's the restaurant manager who came up to me and asked how was my meal. I was so honest to say that it's not a thumbs up meal. It'was a nice experience though. Anyway, thanks for the healthy meal The Urban Farm.

Late lunch at Kat's Cafe

Robinson's Las Pinas is the newest shopping mall in the metro south. Went here 3 days after they opened and checked out the place and try some of their cafes and restaurants here. Found Kat's Cafe at their restaurant wing. Kat's Cafe used to be inside BF Resort Las Pinas. I love their new branch coz it's more spacious and more seating capacity.

Kat's Cafe gives a homey vibrant where you and your friends can relax, grab a bite of their yummy cupcakes and their coffee. Behind that book shelve is their loo. Cool right? Ingenious way to hide their loo.

My daughter and I had late lunch here and because I was really starving, I first ordered cupcakes. Mine was Cookie Dough Cupcake and Chichi had Oreo Cheese Cupcake. I can't finish my cupcake coz I can taste the raw cookie dough, and because I can easily have an upset stomach, I'd rather not finish it, though the Oreo cupcake is way much better than the cookie dough cupcake.

For our lunch, I ordered Carbonara Pancetta. I gotta say that they have generous serving of pancetta on my pasta. Maybe, that's the reason why I finished it. Anyway, I have all the reasons to be back here. One of the best cupcake I ever tasted. =)
