Songkran: A Thai Restaurant in BF Aguirre Paranaque

Last June 21 we celebrated father's day in Songkran. Located in 249 BF Aguirre Paranaque. The restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday, 11 am to 2 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm. Because it's father's day and it'll definitely be a full packed with families celebrating that day, Saturday I had my reservations at the restaurant. Lesson learned from last Mother's Day that we had a hard time looking for a restaurant to have dinner.

Anyhoo, it wasn't my first time to dine here, though this will be my first time to make a review of this Thai Restaurant. We had full dinner that night and these are in our menu.

Tom Yum Goong, a sour soup with a generous amount of veggies and shrimp for only 255 php.

Chicken Pad Thai for 202 php. I love their version of Pad Thai, enough sweetness and saltiness from the chicken. My only concern is that they serve it with minimal amount of bean sprouts, I suggest to have more sprouts to have more crunch.

Shrimp Pad Thai for 205 php. Their Pad Thai is good for 1-2 person/s.

Chicken Sate. 5 chicken sticks with peanut sauce. The sauce is just right with the tenderness of the chicken.

Red Beef Curry Rice meal for 199 php. This is more like Beef Mechado, has a kick of spiciness but not too much and it doesn't overpower the sauce.

Keang Nua or Red Beef Curry, good for 2-3 pax (315 php)

See Klong Moo Daeng, Thai Pork Spareribs for 255 php. We all liked this pork dish because of the garlic and tenderness of meat.

Plamug Kratiem Prig Thai, Squid with Garlic Cilantro for 280 php. Some squid are tough though some are tender. Love the sauce of it though.

Thai Milk Tea to complete our Thai Cuisine Night. I can't say if this is an authentic Thai cuisine but we all enjoyed our dinner here.


  1. I simply love thai food and this one looks yummy satay , curry and chicken pad thai. It doesn't look costly.

  2. I love Thai Food. The Tom Yum Goong soup looks delicious. The restaurant looks nice and I would say the food are fairly priced.

  3. Isn't Tom Yum Goong their version of sinigang? I'd love to try that. Also, do they have crispy catfish? That's my favorite Thai dish. :)

    1. Its like sinigang but their version is really sour and you can taste its diff from our sinigang

  4. I'm quite particular about Thai food because I've been eating so much of them. The thai food in Singapore are less spicy and more localised. Prefer the spicier ones!

    1. It's also localized here. You have an option for your food to make it less spicy or really spicy

  5. Thai and Chinese food are the same in feature, but they have different style in cooking. And I love them both!

  6. I would love the red beef curry rice. Let me schedule a visit here.

  7. I am no fan of Thai dishes. A little bit spicy but these foods looks so appetizing.

  8. Tom Yum Soup is really a must have starter for any Thai restaurant meal. We never fail to order it. We can judge the quality of the restaurant based on this staple soup.

  9. Songkran is actually water festival in Thailand. But here is a restaurant name. As usual when I go to Thai restaurant I will definately order the Tom Yam Goong.

  10. That's one of the restaurants in Aguirre that my family frequents. I love their Milk Tea and will have to try their Red Beef Curry next time. It would be nice to visit again.

  11. I'm sorry but I'm just not into Thai cuisine though my Dad is. Their meals are usually strong in flavor and I can't take much of it. However, the prices of these meals are pretty decent compared to the other thai restaurant blog posts I've come across with.

  12. It all look quite good - especially the Tom yam going and the pad Thai. Rambling tummy now, it's lunch time. I never learn not to look at food when I am hungry!

  13. Not a fan of spicy food, but I do quite like Thai food :) your photos of them look good!

  14. I love Thai food! I hope maligaw ako sa BF Aguirre so I can try this restaurant.
