Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

Why do I Blog?

Many has been asking me, Why do I Blog? I always answer them "because I love to write". A lot has been asking me what do I get from being a Blogger? The answer is/are: I get VIP invites for an opening of an establishment, gets to know first about the new trend in our country before it goes out in the market and of course, you get to have and try these products for free. Yes! For FREE! Many of you would say "Ah, I can buy those things! Or I can go and eat at that restaurant by paying!". Sure, you can pay, and by the way, I also have money to pay where I want to eat or stay in a hotel! But being invited and you get to try first what's in store for that establishment is different.

Blogging for a product and giving an honest review is a must! Regardless if it's sponsored or not, you have to let your readers know the truth and not give them false info just to give a positive review. Being a blogger is not for everyone. You have to be passionate about writing and enjoys attending events and the likes.

Not all Bloggers gets to receive monetary as a "Thank You" or "Token" for attending an event. Most would receive GC's, products to try like beauty products, food and beverage, even gadgets like cell phones, laptops etc.

I have been blogging for quite some time now, but, I only got serious about it last year (2014) and since then, I have been attending countless events. I get to meet nice and friendly Bloggers and be friends with them. Well, most of my close "Blogger friends" are Mommy Bloggers.

I love writing and will continue blogging as long as my hands can type on my laptop keyboard.

If I had extra time on my hands, I'd love to attend some of the events as well.

  4. I totally agree with you Lee. I feel satisfied when I wrote a good review and my friends took my suggestions to try something new (like try the new Japanese restaurant). They come and tell me, "Hey, thanks to your review, I like that Wagyu Don you recommended". That kind of compliments make my day and give a good reason to continue blogging too :D

  5. Good for you! I love to blog because I have a passion to help others. It's true about reviews, but sadly, the law is against us when it comes to telling the truth about a failed service. Long story, but believe me, I had a traumatic experience on it. That's why I double check my reviews nowadays.

    Anyway,

  10. I am glad to know you would write an honest review even if it was a sponsored post. Being sponsored can sometimes compromise the frankness of a blogger about certain products. Honesty is really the best policy.

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
