Coffee Chill at Carpe Diem

What better way to relax and just enjoy the rainy weather is by sipping a good coffee and snacking some sweet baked goodies. Weather here in Manila is so erratic, in the morning, it's really sunny, then in the afternoon it will rain cats and dogs. I needed some place to chill and write my blogs in a quiet and nice place.

I have been seeing Carpe Diem along BF Aguirre Paranaque and I was able to find time to try their coffee. They're open from Monday to Sunday, morning till late evening. They also have free wifi however, once there are so many connected on their WIFI, the connection will get slower, good thing I always bring my pocket wifi with me.

Once I stepped inside the cafe, I immediately liked the place and love the small details on their shelves. Enough lighting in which I liked the most. They have 3 pairs of comfy couches which I always looked for in a coffee shop.

If only I brought my kid with me, surely she'll fall asleep here in the their comfy couch, lol.

I ordered my all time favorite Cappuccino. Whenever I order a hot coffee, I always ask to make it EXTRA hot however, once this is served to me, I can easily sip my coffee, it's not even hot. It's just warm! This is really disappointing, though I will still go here and next time I will emphasize my order EXTRA HOT.

  2. I grew up in the south and I've always like BF villages because of the coffee shops they have even back then. I haven't seen Carpe Diem, but when I go visit a friend back there, I'll ask to check this place out with her. :) Starbucks are so yesterday, aren't they? haha.

  3. The place gives off a homey and cozy feel overall. I'm a huge coffee drinker and Carpe Diem looks like a great place to relax, read a book, write an article while sipping a latte. :)

  4. Aaah, the perks of living in the South. We just soooo many dining options to choose from. I have yet to try Carpe Diem - this is actually the first time that I've heard about it but it sure is a place that I'd like to check out.

  6. Haven't been to the south to try any coffee shops/restaurants because it's just too far from my place. Carpe Diem will be definitely be added to my must try places if ever I'll be in the area soon. :)

  7. I love the name. Seize the day. If I'd be able to visit this shop, I'll surely seize the day to try all their best offering.

  8. The latte art in Cape Diem looks great! Another coffee shop to go to. Would you know if they're a normal coffee shop or they serve specialty coffee (meaning do they hand-brew espresso with a pour-over or aeropress)? I'm pretty curious because I might add them to my coffee crawl.

    1. They just serve normal coffee. If you want a specialty coffee, try Magnum Opus also in Aguirre.

  9. Coffee shops are sprouting like mushroom everywhere. Hopefully, their coffee will taste as good as the place's ambiance. It looks relaxing and cozy.

  10. This is a nice coffee cafe. Though I am not into coffee but munching some of their sweet baked goodies is good try. I'll be at Cafe Alezon this evening and how I wish to drop by the place.

  11. Meh meh, I'm a difficult person to please, and somehow coffee doesn't attract me! I will go for fruit juice if there is!

  16. Were you able to bring up the "extra hot" concern to their barista? If you did, what action did they do to make it up to you? Because if simple requests such as this are forgotten or worst ignored by their staff, it can easily push new customers away.
