Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

Food Review - BB-Q Chicken and Pizza Starmall Daang Hari

I like any pasta and one of my all time fave is pizza. I know it's not healthy coz it's greasy, however, I still enjoy and would want to eat atleast a slice every month, lol.

Chicken and Pizza is a famous restaurant in Korea and now, there's about less than 10 branches here in the Philippines. They offer famous Korean dishes and some American faves like chicken, pizza, salads and pasta.

Bibimbab is a mixed rice with veggies and meat.

Japchae is a noodles dish with veggies and some meat. What I like about this dish is that you can really taste that this is an asian cuisine because of the sesame oil on it.

Kimchi

All meat pizza - yummy!

Shrimp Spoon Pizza - a non traditional pizza that is so thin and so cheesy that you have to use a spoon to eat this pizza.

These 3 kinds of Chicken is one of our fave here. A mixture of Paris Chicken with sweet glaze. Original fried chicken and hot and spicy chicken.

Seafood Carbonara - has a generous amount of shrimp, squid and mussels. A bit blant to taste and the owner said, that's what Koreans want with their pasta.

Our visit here in BB-Q Chicken and Pasta is worth-it! Visit them at Starmall Daang Hari.

  7. How was the teokbokki? I saw it in the flatlay group shot of the food but you didn't describe it individually like the other dishes. The shrimp spoon pizza looks so yum with all that cheese!!

  11. Hmm, personally I won't go to a restaurant that sells Korean/Asian food along side pasta and American dishes, unless it's a fusion. In culinary speak, neither would taste as good as authentic restaurants that sells only one type of cuisine. But the pizza does look good and I shall take your word for it 😉

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
