Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

PHITEX 2016 Held at The Marriott Hotel

BIGGER Opportunity for Philippine sellers to meet foreign buyers all over the globe. TPB PHL (Tourism Promotion Board Philippines held their annual travel trade event today September 5th at the Marriott Grand Ballroom. With their 2016 theme #PHITEX2016: BIGGER BUSINESS the event is set to accommodate more than 200 international buyers from across 37 countries worldwide and 199 local sellers from 132 companies across the Philippines.

The Tourism Board gives the buyers an opportunity to meet Philippine sellers - hotels, properties, and other establishments. Sellers  will introduce best offerings in terms of travel and tourism products and services in a one-on-one 10-minute presentation.

Buyers are from Norway, Italy, Denmark, United States, and many neighboring Asian countries such as South Korea, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Last September 3rd pre-tours has conducted a visit to Manila's pride - The walled City of Intramuros to get a glimpse of our rich history during the Spanish colonization. Buyers visited the Fort Santiago, which houses the shrine of Rizal museum where memorabilia of the Philippines national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, are displayed. Some other historic churches in Intramuros - San Agustin Church were also visited by the buyers and watched a brief cultural show at Casa Manila.

The post-tours are just as exciting since it will feature the Philippines' premier destinations including world class accommodations, business facilities, entertainment and convemtion venues. Bohol and Cebu are also included to the post-tour which also gives more opportunities for the buyers to see more of  the Philippines potential.

Our country is very proud that we have El Nido Palawan as the best island in the world and also the New 7 Wonders of the World - Underground Subterranean River located at Puerto Princesa Palawan.

It only shows that Philippine tourism is growing strong from foreign tourists / travelers / retirees such as Koreans, Russians, and more Europeans are coming back again to our home country - Philippines. We should all take a time to travel more in our country because the Philippines is such a beautiful country with 7,000+ islands that gives us Filipinos and foreign tourist to come often to the Philippines.

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
