Hotel Review: White Knight Hotel in Intramuros Manila

If you are a traveler and on a quick layover to Manila or perhaps spending a few days in the busy city of Manila you might wanna check on White Knight Hotel. Located in Intramuros Manila beside San Agustin Church and just right after the famous Barbaras Restaurant and Casa Manila Patio.

Intramuros is one of the oldest parts of Manila where it stands and witnessed the chaotic event during World War II. It is also one of the few places here in the Philippines that preserved the Spanish Colonial look of the structures and buildings. You don't have to go all the way to Vigan and Bataan just to see and have a photo of these old buildings and houses.

Getting to the hotel from Manila Airport:

- I strongly suggest taking UBER from the airport going to the hotel, it's cheaper and efficient.
- Cab/Uber fare will depend on the traffic situation in Manila.
- From Ninoy Aquino International Aiport Terminal fare will cost around 200 PHP to 250 PHP / 4.00 USD to 5.10 USD. However, it can go much higher if traffic is really bad/raining/or less UBER driver are driving around Manila.

You might be confused with the location because the first establishment that you will see when you enter the hotel vicinity is either Barbaras Restuarant or Casa Manila Museum.

Upon entering the hotel, you will enter the hotel's in-house restaurant that serves Western and Filipino cuisine. A bit pricey but you have other options when you want to eat out. You may try dining at Barbaras Restaurant just right outside the hotel.

Deluxe Queen Room is equipped with full queen bed, ensuite bathroom with bathtub and complete toiletries, small tv, table and chair, window seating area, and a/c. The hotel doesn't have any elevator/lift which is a downside for me especially if you are traveling with seniors this will be difficult for them to climb up the stairs. However, I talked to one of their staff and if they have a guest who is in a wheelchair or needs assistance, all staff are willing to help and carry what they need to.

Room price starts from 2,000 PHP to 3,000 PHP / 40.81 USD to 61.22 USD.

I love having breakfast or dinner outside the restaurant so having a hotel al fresco is a plus for me. It's also a good place for having a date night with your partner, right?

This rustic and old feel of Intramuros is what I love most.

Outside the hotel is a perfect place your #ootd and IG photo, lol. I love taking door pictures. Beside the hotel is the San Agustin Church. One of the famous wedding church venue and one of the oldest church in the Philippines.

If you head to Manila or just want to try an old Spanish feel hotel - book a night or two at the White Knight Hotel and enjoy the old feel vibe of the place.

  1. I have not stayed in White Knight, but my friends and I eat there often when in Intramuros ... that's when we're craving for Filipino Food. We love their Caldereta. I'm sure staying there is relaxing because the hotel sits further inside the compound so it's quiet plus you're away from the all the noise of the city.
