Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

As a Blogger who is always online (like every day) on her social media accounts and actively uploading photos on Instagram is not an easy job. Yes! Blogging used to be a HOBBY for me when I was a bored stay-at-home mom a few years back and now I am proud to say that little by little I am earning now from blogging.

Aside from FREE travels around the Philippines and other countries, I also get sponsorship from different brands, company, and even tourism boards. In return, I have to blog and post a photo on my social media accounts. I do not just take photos and post it online without using these free and paid apps

These apps are my TOP 4 PHOTO EDITOR faves:

1. VSCO

This is my most fave app of all. It's FREE to download and some of its themes are for FREE but if you wanna get those perfect INSTAGRAM feed themes then I suggest you buy some of its theme ranging from 50 PHP / 1 USD to 1,500 PHP / 30 USD (complete theme).

If you are not contented on your photo before you post it on your social media accounts then SNAPSEED will help you have that HIGH BRIGHTNESS background. Recently I changed my INSTAGRAM theme wherein all my photos have frames. This app can crop, framed your photos and even beautify faces.

I accidentally downloaded this app when it was advertised on my Instagram. I paid 2 USD / 100 PHP for this app. The good thing about this app is that you can play around your photos especially if you have a lot of landscape photos because you can tweak and do a doble-exposure pictures. I fint it hard to use since I barely tweak my photos. A simple highlight and brightness for me is fine.

One of the best computer photo editors is ADOBE LIGHTROOM, so if you forget to bring your laptop and you needed a quick fix and edit on your photos then this app is your new best friend. Not only its easy to use but the basic HSL (hue, saturation, luminance)  quick fix has it.

So, there you have it. Do you also use these apps? Did you find it easy or hard to use? Or if you have any other mobile photo editor app that you use let me know so I can check it.

  1. wow this is so helpful! i'm always struggling to figure out how to make my photos look better. I will look into all of these, thank you!

  2. I have tried all of these and my favorite by far is the lightroom. Snapseed is what comes second to the entire set. In addition there is something called photodirector that helps with some instagram cropping. Try that out.

    1. Will check out Photodirector - thanks for the tip 🤗

  3. I use Lightroom for mobile, but otherwise most of my mobile shots are taken more for the moment than when a frame presents itself.

  4. Good list of apps. very useful for Instagram posts. Lightroom is a favourite which we use when on the go, Also use Canva which has a more range of options when on the laptop.

  5. i've never tried using apps on mobile for editing pics for my blog. Usually, i use photoshop to edit. Come to think of it, my husband does the editing on lightroom. LOL.

  6. I head about Snapseed before but I haven't use it. I've heard is good though. I need to install Lightroom as well on my phone, I use it all the time on my desktop but didn't get a chance to try on the mobile as well.

  7. This is a super helpful post for bloggers and Instagrammers, who need to play around with the photos before posting them. As of now I use photo editing capabilities of the Yi action camera app, which gives pretty good results when I don't have access to a laptop.

  8. I have tried all except Enlight. Think I'll try it as I mostly click landscape pictures. My favorite is Snapseed though.

  9. Thanks for the tips. Will try these out for sure :)

  10. I must admit I have never used any of these apps before. I only use Aviary and Pixlr, and I think I am ok with them. Will check these out soon and try for myself. Thanks.

  11. I'm using adobe photoshop for iphone now and it's easy to use. I also used vsco for a time but there were just too many options for me.

  12. Thank you for this. I already use VSCO and Snapseed, but not Enlight or Adobe Lightrooom (which I have heard so much about). I will definitely be checking these out. Thanks for the recommendation.

  13. Thanks for the info. so you are working online - it can be tiring too am sure and time consuming. all the best

  14. There's nothing better than Adobe Photoshop for detailed works. For minor works I use Photogrid!

  15. My favorite here is Snapseed. I use it all the time and it's really easy to edit photos through this app. The one I don't get is VSCO.

  16. Ooohhh these are awesome apps! I've never tried them before. I just use what I have on my iPhone which is Camera360. I also just upload photos on my social media for fun. Perhaps when I decide to go further with my social media activities, I'll try these and some other new ones that will pop up when that time comes. Thanks for sharing!

  17. I am not looking for a better photo editor for my images to be used in my various blogs. I have my free photo editor which I use in resizing my raw pictures to fit with my image blog requirement. And I am using it for almost 6 years now since I started blogging sometime in 2011.

  18. Good shots become better with the use of great photo editor apps. It adds creativity and beauty in every post.

  19. There are several steps to the finished HDR image. Creating the bracketing, creating the HDR image, the tone-mapping process, the post-processing ... With each of these steps, you can do a lot wrong (and of course right). But usually it's better to use programs like on website.

Be a Professional Blogger and Level Up Your Chance on Getting Paid By Clients

I started getting serious about blogging back in 2014. At first, all I know is we can get money from Google Ads and not from clients and attending events. Years past, I was able to write hundreds of blog articles, and I have attended many media trip, famtrip and international trip like in Indonesia and Israel where I got invited both by the Tourism Department.

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
