Knowing Yogyakarta Indonesia

Most Filipino travelers would go to nearby countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau (Visa free country) but very few would go to Indonesia. Most Filipinos would only know Bali and Jakarta but little did we know that Indonesia has so much to offer for all types of travelers.
In July 2016, I got invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia together with 50+ other South East Asian bloggers and influencers to travel around Indonesia for 12 days. I extended my trip to Jakarta for 3 days and was not able to do so much because of the traffic jam. Few from our batch went to Yogyakarta and seeing their amazing photos made me want and eager to go back to Indonesia and visit Yogyakarta.
Luckily Last January 2018, I was able to go back in Indonesia, had a 4-day trip to Jakarta with AirAsia and finally extended my trip for another 4 days just to see the wonders of Yogyakarta. I always wanted to visit temples and palaces in this region and finally, I did. Let me share you where we s…

Hotel Review: Bayfront Hotel Cebu

My fourth time visiting Cebu and still my days here is still short and I still have a lot of places needed to see. Also, it was my first time to try a Lechon Cebu, why? because I am not a fan of pork but after attending an event a month ago I have tried 3 kinds of lechon in the Queen City of the South. I have another day to stay in Cebu and found this hotel that is perfectly located just a few meters away from SM City Cebu - Bayfront Hotel Cebu.

Here are my Top 4 favorite about the hotel:

1. Convenient location

Just a few meters walk from SM City and myBus station. And also in the middle of uptown Cebu and Mactan area where the airport is located. If you go here via commute you can take the myBus from the airport and drop off point is in front of the hotel or you may just book a  ride from UBER or GRAB.

2 Bunk beds available when booking the Barkada Room for 3,300+ / 66 USD+

Suite Room King size bed

2. Clean hotel room

The reason why I love staying in a hotel is that of the comfort I get whenever I sleep in a very comfy bed and pillows, crisp linens, and clean room. I also like that the interiors of the hotel lobby, my room is simple and monotone shade.

Living room and Kitchen are both available for Suite Room for 4,200 PHP + / 84 USD + per night.

3. Affordable price

Yep! Bayfront Hotel is a business hotel which is perfect for seminars, meetings, and the hotel has conference rooms and they accommodate debuts, children's party, and even weddings.

I stayed in a Standard Room with free breakfast buffet and cost around 2,000 PHP / 40 USD only! They actually have a special promo and it can even go as low as 1,600 PHP only! Amazing deal right?

4. Good choices of Pinoy Breakfast

This is not a BIG hotel so do not expect for a lavish spread of buffet here, however, I love that their restaurant offers Filipino breakfast and they even have congee and danggit so yey! Also, if you are a bacon lover like me you will not see any on the buffet however, you may ask the restaurant staff to serve you one (by request).

Room Pricing on discount:

Standard Room with King bed is 2,000+ PHP
Superior Room with 2 Double bed is 2,200+ PHP
Barkada Room with 2 bunk bed is 3,300+ PHP
Suite Room with King size bed and seating area is 4,200+ PHP

(all room prices is subject to tax)

  5. that's awesome if they have danggit! I'd love to have a crispy one for my breakfast with a very tasty sour and spicy vinegar! If this hotel is convenient, clean, accessible, and reasonably priced, then i cant see any reason not to stay here! :)

  6. If I have all the money in the world I'd rather stay in hotels than hostels. First, I am not so sociable so I have never gotten over my awkwardness when meeting people in hostels, second, a hotel is definitely much more comfortable, you have your own room and the amenities are fantastic. I could see why you loved your stay here, Bayfront looks amazing.

Beach-Lovin: La Thalia Beach Resort

It's Summer time now! And the best place to treat yourself from our hectic work by going to the beach - a quiet place, far from the hustling and bustling city,  and just have a total relaxation at the ocean. It's been a while since I had a visit to the beach and I had such a great time spending my 2 days at the La Thalia Beach Resort in Bauan Batangas. Batangas is a 2-hour drive from Manila and Bauan Batangas has white beach sand. La Thalia is a half hectare property that has a great beach front andrelaxing rooms - couple room & barkada room/family room, Pavillion that can accommodate 100 pax, restaurant, basketball court, table tennis, and water sports such as Jetski, Paddle Boat, Kayak and they also offer island tour where you and your group can have fish feeding and snorkeling at the same time.
